Abseiling

Group 3 preparing for the exciting experience.

On our camp, a special visitor came to teach us how to abseil. His name was Andrew Smith.

After we had got our harnesses on and blah, blah, blah, we went to the top of the tower up a steep ladder.  Then we took turns abseiling down the tower.  He let us down slowly, and then we walked slowly down the tower.  It was a bit hard the first time, but it was easy the next time.

We jumped to get off and that was the fun bit!  Then the next person went up for their turn.  And the next and so on.

I had a super time!  If you are doing abseiling on your camp, give it a go!
