You know we're arty so let's have a party!!! First Mrs. Day showed us some ancient Greek mosaics on You Tube. After that we chose a pattern, the choices were: a windmill, a bird, a fish and a palm tree. At this stage we got big pieces of coloured paper and with scissors, we cut the coloured paper into scanty, minikin sized pieces that we glued onto the patterns that we chose a bit earlier.
Then a while after that when we finished, Mr. Taylor gave us name tags that we stuck onto the bottom right corner of the mosaics. When everyone has finished that we will begin one that instead of skimpy, paltry paper pieces we will use small coloured tiles that we will stick onto blocks, then we are done!
Great description Max and Zak; I like your choice of words - scanty, skimpy and paltry, though I'm not sure I'm familiar with 'minikin' but I understand what you mean! Who would have thought that all those tiny bits of paper could be transformed into such dazzling pictures?! I look forward to seeing what you can do with the tiles!
