On the 28th of March some really, really, really, really good hip hop dancers (Origin Dance Group) came to our school, after winning a contest in Wellington. They competed against teams from the South Island and up to Wellington. We were all stoked to hear that they were coming to us.
First we did a warm up dance. In the dance we had to copy one of the dancers moves (there were 6 dancers). We had to do star jumps, stretches and a lot of other things in the warm up dance.
Then they taught us a dance. First we stretched our arms and, then pointed straight ahead and then moved our arms sideways and ended up at the right side. After that move we ran on the spot, then lifted our arms up slowly and slowly brought them down sideways.
Bounces came next followed by 4 steps. Other moves were slide claps, swaying, punches, jumping and pulling up our socks. We finished with an outstanding pose.
At the end we watched them perform the dance they did at the competitions. They were really, really, really, really fantastic.
